Make a Perfect Choco-Lava Idli in Multi Kadai!

Ingredients:

  • 10 Bourbon biscuits 
  • 1/2 Cup milk
  • 1/4 Teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 Cadbury chocolate bar 
  • Butter for greasing the idli moulds

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, crush the Bourbon biscuits into a fine powder using a Mixer Grinder.
  2. Gradually add milk to the biscuit powder and mix to form a smooth batter. The consistency should be thick but pourable.
  3. Grease the idli moulds of your Multi Kadai with butter.
  4. Preheat the Multi Kadai with water in the bottom compartment. Make sure there's enough water for steaming without touching the idli moulds.
  5. Now, add the baking soda to the Bourbon biscuit batter and give it a quick mix.
  6. Pour a spoonful of the batter into each greased idli mould, filling them up to about 3/4th full.
  7. Place a few Cadbury chocolate pieces in the center of each idli mould, gently pressing them down into the batter.
  8. Carefully place the filled idli moulds into the preheated Multi Kadai and cover with the lid.
  9. Steam the Chocolate Lava Idlis for about 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the chocolate center comes out clean.
  10. Once done, remove the idli moulds from the Multi Kadai and let them cool for a minute.
  11. Use a butter knife or spoon to gently loosen the edges of the idlis, and then carefully unmould them onto a serving plate.
  12. Serve the Chocolate Lava Idlis warm and witness the magical molten chocolate oozing out when you cut into them!
