Delicious Homemade Paneer Chilli: A Flavorful Fusion of Indian and Chinese Cuisine

  • 1 Tablespoon chili sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon ginger-garlic paste

  • 1 Tablespoon all-purpose flour (maida)
  • 1 Teaspoon black pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Spring onions for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, mix the paneer cubes with 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon chili sauce, 1 tablespoon cornflour, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Let it marinate for at least 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse into the paneer.
  3. In a separate bowl, prepare a batter by mixing 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon cornflour, a pinch of salt, and enough water to make a smooth, thick paste.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Dip each marinated paneer cube into the batter, ensuring it is well-coated, and fry until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  6. In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed. Sauté ginger-garlic paste until fragrant.
  7. Add sliced onions and bell peppers, and stir-fry until they are slightly tender but still crisp.
  8. Mix 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup, and black pepper powder. Add this mixture to the stir-fried vegetables.
  9. Gently add the fried paneer cubes to the pan, ensuring they are coated evenly with the sauce.
  10. Garnish with finely chopped green chilies and spring onions.
